Tony Smith, chairman of Muffett Engineering Solutions, has welcomed Greg Clark, MP for Tunbridge Wells, to the company facility.

Although Greg Clark has visited the Tunbridge Wells-based company in previous years, Mr Smith wanted to bring him up to speed on the latest investments the company has made, both in people and equipment.

Muffett recently took delivery of a new Mitutoyo CMM, the MiSTAR 555. Along with their larger Mitutoyo Crysta Apex S 9106 CMM, it will allow greater flow of quality control through the factory. The MiSTAR 555 is particularly suited for the shopfloor environment and will allow employees to achieve faster results and have greater control over the products produced.

Mr Smith commented: “As one of the leading engineering companies in the UK, we are continually investing to support our customers across the globe, particularly in the aerospace and medical sectors. Our latest investments ensure our commitment to UK engineering expertise is appreciated by our clients worldwide.”

Based in Kent, Muffett Engineering Solutions specialises in precision engineering for gears, gearboxes, assemblies and components. The company supplies to leading manufacturers in the UK, Europe and Asia.
